In 1967, change was in the air in San Francisco. That year, nearly 100,000 young people converged on the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood, turning the city into the epicenter of a cultural phenomenon known as the Summer of Love.

Drawn here in search of the “strange vibration” described by singer Scott McKenzie in his 1967 anthem, “San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers In Your Hair),” these budding hippies imagined a more just society where love reigned and individuals were free to be themselves. During this transformative time, music, fashion, art and new ideas blossomed, and there was a feeling that everything was possible.

NOW THIS TIME IS OVER FOREVER. ONLY MEMORIES REMAINS.

The group can only be described as one of the most powerful and exciting acts performing live music, they still continue to enthral thousands of fans World-wide,  they are one of the most popular and authentic sixties bands still performing 50 years on!

A Merseybeats performance is spectacular and pulsating experience, classic hits' Think Of You' 'Wishin & Hopin'

and 'Sorrow' are combined with emotive ballads and explosive pyrotechnic sets. 

Tony Crane and Billy Kinsley formed a group called “The Mavericks and played most of the major venues around Liverpool. Bob Wooler, famous booking agent and disc jockey at the Cavern saw The Mavericks perform, he approached Tony Crane asking if they would like a residency at the Cavern. Bob Wooler thought their name sounded too country and western, suggesting a change of name, Tony and Billy were happy and agreed this idea. After consultation and agreement with Bill Harry, owner of a Liverpool music paper titled Mersey Beat, Bob Wooler Re-named the group The Mersey Beats.

The Mersey Beats then became resident at the Cavern alongside The Beatles and still hold the record of appearing with The Beatles more than any other artistes.

Bob Weston was best-known as the guitarist for Fleetwood Mac during their "mid" period (1971-1974). He also worked as a session guitarist and prior to joining Fleetwood Mac was a member of Black Cat Bones,Graham Bond Band 1966-67,theKinetic 1967,Giant Marrowfat 1968,Ashkan 1970,

Chimera 1970,Ashman Reynolds, Long John Baldry band 1971,Mickey Waller band 1972, Alexis Korner band ,Dana Gillespie band,Howard Werth and the Moonbeams 1975,Steve Marriott band,the Fallen Angels 1976,Murrey Head band 1979.

Then he started a solo career with 3 albums and soundtracks.

He passed away on 3 January 2003 London.
