JANIS JOPLIN - SIX SHADES OF JANIS 1993 flac.
A Rare Promo CD
In 1993, Columbia/Legacy issued this 6-song promo-only CD to plug the upcoming 3CD box set, Janis. Hard core fans already springing for the box didn’t need any of these already included tracks, so the selling point for collectors became the outstanding nude imagery of Janis by photographer Bob Seidmann.
It includes alternate versions of “Me And Bobby McGee” (live in the studio) and “Summertime” (an alternate version from the Cheap Thrills sessions).
