Fantastic music from ROBBIE ROBERTSON the front man of - THE BAND-.

Jaime Royal Robbie” Robertson is born  in Toronto, Canada.

His father from Toronto; his mother, of Mohawk descent, born and raised on the Six Nations Reservation.

At an early age, Robbie begins learning guitar from relatives during his summer visits to the reservation.

At 1958 plays with teenage groups, including Little Caesar & The Consuls, Robbie Robertson and the Rhythm Chords, Robbie & The Robots and Thumper and the Trambones.

1960 join Hawkins & The Hawks (which includes Levon Helm, Rick Danko, Richard Manuel and Garth Hudson) tour clubs in the U.S. and Canada and are included in performance packages with such acts as Chuck Berry, Carl Perkins

1965 HAWKS support DYLAN in the big US tour.

1967 become the BAND the group that changed music history.

During the summer jam at WATKINS GLEN festival played in front of 650.000 people with ALLMAN BROS. & GRATEFUL DEAD.

1973 -1974 they played with DYLAN in many recordings.

Their final concert is LAST WALTZ  Concert on 25-11-1976 with Paul Butterfield, Eric Clapton, Neil Diamond, Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris, Ronnie Hawkins, Dr. John, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Ringo Starr, Muddy Waters, Ronnie Wood and Neil Young. The event is filmed by director Martin Scorsese released in 1978.

Robbie Robertson writes and produce solo albums and soundracks for movies like RAGING BULL with R. DENIRO ,THE COLOR OF MONEY with PAUL NEWMAN,CASINO with R. DENIRO.

Then the soundtrack for ANY GIVEN SUNDAY of OLIVER STONE, GANGS OF NEW YORK with Daniel Day-Lewis, Cameron Diaz and Leonardo DiCaprio,LADDER 49 with Travolta and J.Phoenix,THE DEPARTED  with  Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson and Martin Sheen.

2008 The Band receives The Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

2010 the soundtrack for THE SHUTTER ISLAND with L.DiCaprio in 2012 THE WOLF OF WALL STREET in 2016 SILENCE with LIAM NEESON in 2019 THE IRISH MAN with Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci together again for the story of Jimmy Hoffa.

IN 2023 the music for the KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON an amazing film for the native Americans who supported during his life with songs and festivals.

Robbie left us on August 2023.
