LAKIS ZOIS - ESOTERIC 1992.Lakis Zois was born in Piraeus. As a child he sang in choirs and played various instruments such as drums, guitar and bass.
Between 1969 and 1974 he became a member of several groups and collaborated with several members of well-known bands at that time, such as the Playboys, the Charms, the Idols, Socrates, the Sounds, etc. His first jazz rock band was the Lakis Zois Group, which included George Filippidis, George Gavalas, Chris Stassinopoulos and Pavlos Alexiou. Among the musicians he played were Giorgos Trantalidis, Johnny Labizi and Demis Visvikis.
In 1975 he formed the Lakis Zois Trio, with Giorgos Filippidis and Giorgos Trantalidis and played in the historic jazz club of Barakos for a few years.
He also collaborated with Bela Lakatos, Tony Lakatos, Harry Sokal, Laszlo Gardony, Nick Gravenites, and others. In 1979 he studied with Michalis Vourtsis and Julien Fulk at the Umip music school conservatory in France.
In 1980, when he returned to Greece, he became the fourth member of Sphinx. Since 1983 he has been working in his personal studio, where he composes, arranges and records his music. His first album "Esoteric" was released in 1992 then "ALONE" 2001 .
